It all started after migrating from the old Leopoard Mac: My Illustrator and Photoshop CS5 launch perfectly but InDesign CS5.5 crashes after launch. I have deleted my preferences and tried it under a new admin user etc but still nothing.
There was a link mentioning Get Adobe Support Advisor.I clicked on that and boom The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.The web page said. I even restarted my system couple of time but it didn't help. Then after a bit of research I was able to install and same fix I am going to provide in this article.

I then tried to download a trial version of CC but not even that works. Instead of downloading, it says download and install the Adobe Application Manager.
When I try to do that, I get the error message 'Installer failed to initialize, download Adobe Support Advisor to identify the problem.'
After downloading and (difficult) launching from the Adobe Support Advisor says 'no problems were found' and that I should contact Apple Support - so here I am ...
The same happens when I try to deinstall any Adobe product.
